Green School 2022
Today, we learned about the city and history of Lublin. On the way to the city, we stopped to have a snack. When we got to Lublin, we visited the castle’s courtyard where our tour guide told us about the chapel in which the Union of Lublin was signed. This was a historically significant event as the two countries of Poland and Lithuania united into a single state and showed the possibility of cooperation.
Afterwards, we managed to see the old town road where our amazing tour guide told us the history of the baroque cathedral which was called the acoustic cathedral. We also saw the unfortunate rock that was used to decapitate people and now brings bad luck to those that touch it. We finished the visit by eating ice cream and buying souvenirs.
When we finished our adventure we drove to Białka where a delicious dinner was prepared and waiting for us. To finish off the day we had a community meeting where we planned the week including deciding on who will do the duties such as tending to the animals at 7:30am.
