The letter from Malgosia Tarnowska, the owner and founder of Warsaw Montessori Family.

Dear Parents,

I am writing to inform you that according to Directives of the Polish Prime Minister and of Polish Ministry of Education:

 – as of Monday, March 16th:

all activities/classes will be cancelled in all of our schools/campuses until March 25th

 – we will hopefully be allowed to re-open on Thursday, March 26th

 – tomorrow, Thursday, March 12th  and Friday, March 13th, the schools will be open for those of you, who mustsend your child/children to school.

I would like to ensure you that all of our teachers will be available on the e-learning platforms to you and to your children (older students, only).

Each campus will have an e-learning platform plan for you. We will send detailed information later this Friday afternoon.

We would strongly ask all of you to follow the recommendations of Glowny Inspektorat Sanitary (Chief Sanitary Inspectorate), WHO instructions of prevention of corona virus disease.

Please let’s all be full of care and responsibility in all of our daily routines for the good and well-being of our children and our families.

Below please find the letter from Polish Ministry of Education.

Dear Parent,

  • Having in mind your and your child’s health and safety, school classes will be suspended from March 12th. In kindergartens and primary schools child care activities will still be run on March 12th and 13th;
  • Please encourage your child to self-study while there are no lessons at school. Ministry of National Education runs the website epodręczniki.pl which provides a range of educational materials which help to supplement, consolidate and expand knowledge. Accessing those resources is free of charge;
  • If you have a child up to 8 years old, you are entitled to receive child care allowance for up to 14 days. Detailed information may be found on the Social Security Institution (ZUS) website;
  • Provide people who will look after your child with basic safety and hygiene information;
  • At home strictly observe hygiene rules and keep clean the rooms where you stay;
  • Follow GIS, MZ and MEN news about the epidemiological situation in the country and information sent by the school’s headmaster.

Dear Student,

  • Remember about being safe at home. Avoid places with large crowds of people (e.g. public transport, shopping centres);
  • The break in the operation of your school should not mean days off from studying;
  • Use your class suspension time in a reasonable way. Read your favourite book, try to increase your knowledge or develop competence. Use the free website epodreczniki.pl and materials recommended by your teacher;
  • At home strictly observe hygiene rules and keep clean the rooms in which you stay.

Thank you.
