St. Patrick’s Day
On March 17, our school celebrated St. Patrick’s Day – the patron saint of Ireland. The purpose of celebrating this holiday was to introduce students to Irish culture, tradition and history.
The color green has always been associated with Ireland because of its natural wealth – the green vegetation in which the country abounds.
In our school, students deepened their knowledge of the traditions of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in English-speaking countries, and then prepared posters related to this topic.
The beautiful rhythms of Celtic music could also be heard on this day. The children polished the steps of the Irish dance during dance classes led by Ms. Rebecca. On that day there were also culinary accents in the form of healthy salads and green vegetable drinks as part of the tasks of the School Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle.
