Our first field trip
Our first field trip was based on the theme titled ‘I like bees’, as we all sure do! On the first day, we were visited by a local beekeeper from a neighboring apiary. He told us about different kinds of honey and about his work with the bees. In the evening, we sat together singing and eating around the bonfire which we prepared ourselves.
The next day, we went on a trip to see a forester and his lodge. We learned more about the habits of bees and even had an opportunity to watch their work up close! We received beeswax from which we made beautiful candles. At the end, we got a few interesting items like frames with hexagon wax leftovers after honey production that we can now watch in our class nature corner.
We also made a house for insects, flower bombs with seeds and autumn lanterns. Most importantly, however, we had a chance to spend time together and get to know each other closer. It was a great adventure for all of us!
