Flag, emblem, anthem….
November 11, 2022 marks the 104th anniversary of Poland’s independence.
After years of effort and struggle by many patriots, Poland returned to the map of Europe as a sovereign state. The struggle for independence was strongly embedded in the daily lives of those who worked hard, studied, cared for the development of the economy and social life, often being harassed, arrested and persecuted for this reason. Efforts for independence are also marked by the toil and work of Poles in exile, who so assiduously cultivated Poland, developing political thought or Polish culture with it in mind. On this occasion, on November 10, 2022, a performance was held at the non-public elementary school Warsaw Montessori School, and the national anthem was sung by all students of our school at 11:11 am.
Students from BEE, UE1 and UE2 classes – recalled the 123 years of slavery of the Polish nation and its efforts to regain independence. The ceremony featured beautiful music and poems on patriotic themes. After singing the national anthem, Transition class students danced a Polish folk dance – the Krakowiak.
