At Warsaw Montessori School, we follow a comprehensive recruitment process to ensure a smooth and thorough transition for your child into our community. To apply for admission to the first grade of elementary school, students must have completed their 6th year of life and one year of preschool preparation by August 31 of the given year.
1. Application Submission: The first step is to complete and submit the application form. This document provides us with essential information about your child and your expectations.
2. Parent Meeting: Once we receive the application form, we will schedule a meeting with the parents. This meeting allows us to discuss your child’s needs, our educational philosophy, and mutual expectations for your child’s learning experience. During this meeting, please present the student’s mid-year/end-of-year reports from the previous school year. For students with special educational needs, a current psychologist’s report or a statement of special education needs must also be provided.
3. Child’s Trial Period: The final step in the recruitment process is a four-day trial period for your child at our school. During this time, we closely observe your child’s emotional, academic, and social interactions within our environment. This helps us assess how well your child adapts to the Montessori approach and their potential to thrive within our school community.
The trial visit concludes with a meeting with the parents to discuss our observations and communicate the school’s decision regarding the recruitment outcome.
