A Trip to the Museum of Technology – “Bekker’s Lunar Vehicle”
Last week, students from class EE3 had the opportunity to take part in a unique educational experience at the Museum of Technology. The museum lesson was dedicated to Mieczysław Bekker – a Polish engineer whose work contributed to the creation of the Lunar Roving Vehicle used by NASA during the Apollo missions.
The workshop titled “Bekker’s Lunar Vehicle” not only introduced students to the fascinating life and achievements of the scientist but also allowed them to step into the shoes of engineers. Working in teams, they designed and built vehicle models, which they then tested in practice. It was a great opportunity to develop creativity, logical thinking, and teamwork skills.
After the workshop, students explored numerous museum exhibitions, learning about the history of technology in various fields – from automotive engineering to electronics.
The trip provided many positive experiences, inspired learning, and demonstrated how exciting the world of engineering and scientific discovery can be.
